.....Well this is an exciting
prospect... a little scary too! More than a little, because I have not ever traveled and explored on my own.
.....Lots of experience being the passenger though. Navigation and map skills, plus reading the street signs... that's been my forte. But I'm
alone now. (Read more about it at
"My Widow's Walk")

.....This is a whole new thing for me. Yet.... never fear! I have a friend, and he gives me confidence. He will help me if I get lost (which I will, as past experience shows), patiently talk me through my mistakes, misunderstandings, and miscalculations.
....."Who is this wonderful helper?" you ask. [continued at right - "Wonderful Helper???"]

After Dark

This evening I went to a musical program in which one of my great grandsons was performing. (Gunner White, one of Dawn and Andy's kids.) It was the culmination of two weeks... all part of a summer music program offered through Gilbert Public Schools.

This is Gunner.

I really enjoyed attending, chatting with some of my new family, and of course, seeing the kids dance and sing and generally jump around. They had energy to burn!

This was the first time I have used Mr. Gee to help with finding a location in the evening. The program was held at Mesquite Junior High School, and I had never driven there before.

By the time the program was over, it was completely dark, but Mr. Gee lit up his screen and was very visible, even in the darkness. I don't enjoy night driving, but Mr. Gee's patient guidance and direction made the job a lot easier.
