.....Well this is an exciting
prospect... a little scary too! More than a little, because I have not ever traveled and explored on my own.
.....Lots of experience being the passenger though. Navigation and map skills, plus reading the street signs... that's been my forte. But I'm
alone now. (Read more about it at
"My Widow's Walk")

.....This is a whole new thing for me. Yet.... never fear! I have a friend, and he gives me confidence. He will help me if I get lost (which I will, as past experience shows), patiently talk me through my mistakes, misunderstandings, and miscalculations.
....."Who is this wonderful helper?" you ask. [continued at right - "Wonderful Helper???"]

Touring the Canyons

There's a bigger trip in my future! That's right... I've decided to take advantage of a Kiwanis trip which will be departing from FVT on September 14th of this year. It is a five day trip, via tour bus and guide... it will be the first real tour I've taken since JR died. And although I will not be driving, Mr. G and I will be in close contact both on the tour bus and when we are walking around. I know the GPS will help me be oriented as we tour  the various sites.

We will be traveling to Bryce Canyon, Zion Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. Though I've taken a similar trip that covered five canyons with JR, it was a long time ago... and I look forward to the experiences again.

Traveling with other people I know seems like a good way to begin. We'll see how it goes... It's a big step for me to take.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun! Do you know any other people going or are you jumping in cold . . .

I'll probably know some of the people. Not all. FVT is a pretty big place... more that 800 residents.
